A MAJOR CRISIS IN AUTISM RESEARCH IN PEER REVIEWED ACADEMIC JOURNALS…and No one Cares???!!!???

Apparently those involved as well as those reporting simply do not care about the potential/ actual harm to children and adults living with autism from special educators and other professionals working with vulnerable populations whose care decisions were influenced by “fairly trivial papers.”

[Foremost on his mind, he says, are the other authors on the papers. “At this point I am retired, so this has little effect on me, but I am concerned about the former Ph.D. students who were also included,” he says.

“I doubt that he’s fraudulent,” Bishop says of Matson. “I think it’s just this factory for churning out fairly trivial papers.”

She still spends time scraping publication data from various databases to find others who fit the same patterns she detected back in 2015 with Matson’s publications, and she continues to find more editors who publish in their own journals with fast turnarounds. That, Bishop says, is “using your role as an editor to boost your publications. And it’s just unethical.”]

None of the commentors highlighted statements show any concern for the subjects( or their families) of their now suspect research. THAT INDIFFERENCE = CRUELTY IN THE USA OF 2023, IS EUGENICIST PRAXIS now considered baseline normative behavior? What should be logical consequences to extinguish and disincentivize such sociopathic eugenicist behaviors? At a minimum, there should be retractions and/or corrections, would those not be the bare minmum response?
