Hire an attorney and or request pro bono representation to sue your district using class action lawsuits, exclusively, if they refuse to seek an immediate court order(injunction) to prevent everyone who is not a sworn, trained, and licensed municipal, county, or school system law enforcement officer from bringing bullets or any other ordnance onto school property ( this includes parking lots and athletic fields in addition to all school buildings). Explosive devices are a safety hazard in public schools specifically and public spaces in general.
On a personal note, I am personally, profoundly saddened that apparently fear-mongering has manifested allowing bullets and ordnance onto school campuses in New Jersey (where I successfully continued and completed my k-12 Public Education), Minnesota ( where I was originally licensed as k-12 SOCIAL STUDIES in the 1990’s, Georgia ( where I taught Head Start for Ninth District Opportunity, 9–12th Grade Mathematics to emotionally-behavior-disordered high schoolers and was a Social Worker in Dekalb County, and Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina, where I have beloved family members who are parents and educators in Public School Systems.
I am certainly happy to hear from members within @Knarrative with First person narrative histories oral and or written on this issue. Loaded deadly force weapons in schools makes all occupants UNFREE. Fairly or unfairly, learners look to educators as role models of behavior in addition to teachers of course content.
Let me close with a recent incident of an attempted home invasion of my rental unit in Southern California on a Thursday evening before sunset in July 2022. A process server with a master key to my 4 deadbolt locked unit attempted to use their key to enter my unit while I was in the unit working in my home office area. They had opened 2 locks and were about to open the third when I opened the door. I have a working doorbell, but it was not rung first. Had I been armed, the intruder would have been shot or stabbed with deadly force simply because at no time did they even identify themselves. In case you were wondering, this matter will be addressed during a California Superior Court Hearing in Department H of the Van Nuys East Courthouse, 6230 Sylmar St., Van Nuys, CA 91401 at 8:30 am PDST, Thursday August 11, 2022. This is happening for four reasons ( among other issues):
1.) The person who signed as Process Server also happens to be an officer(?)/Senior Administrator-Management Team member of the corporation that manages the building but was not the actual process server.
2.) The past-due rent is $14,000.00 less that what is actually owed. ( This “strategy”(??) I truly do not understand. I am concerned that my lack of understanding might be because of an Autism-related handicap in picking up social cues, IDK).
3.) The property owner co-enrolled with me to receive over $6,000.00 in COVID-19 rent relief and with me has submitted paperwork to have my Section 8 housing voucher pay 100% of my rent and utilities attached to the unit beginning in June, 2022. However they have stipulated in the Unlawful Detainer that the apartment is not covered by COVID-19 rent relief. They are also claiming that my financial hardship is not directly due to COVID-19, even though that criteria was met in order for them to receive COVID-19 renter relief.
4.) The property owner and their attorney have been notified by the Housing Investigator to cease and desist in what is now the fourth documented incidence of harassment.
Note well mine would have been a demonstrably different narrative if I had dropped the intruder where he stood. Now as it happens, my remote storage unit in a nearby suburb contains:
