Well, sweet jesus mother mary of Gawd! Such a delicious yet high-maintenance/anal retentive recipe not for the "easy lay(person)!" Perfect for those long lonely winter nights in the cold dark north...and impractical as hell for my other set of ancestors from the global south🙂🤪🙃😆😄🤣😅.

And yet, it does bring back fond memories of a certain black furry Ashkenazi bear I had an intimate encounter with in the Northwest outer ring suburbs of the Twin Cities circa 1993. Such Sweet savory succulence! Anybody else salivating yet😉😜?!

Yep, I see a trip to Gelsons in Downtown Pasadena in my future this Saturday @ 11:00 to track down some fresh kosher veal...or perhaps, polish sausage, sauerkraut and a warm german potato salad. Just wish I had some of my late German babysitter Cousin Lucy's apple strudel for dessert though. That woman made me 💛🧡❤🤍🤍💜💚🖤 all vegetables with the guarantee of strudel she had baking if we were dropped off at her South Shore Chicago security apartment at just the right time!
