As I am sure you realize from my last highlighted response, your “disclaimer” unintentionally(?) allows someone with deeply held religious beliefs to kill someone they can prove in court of law as homosexual by definition to have committed justifiable homicide and or genocide ( when more than one death is involved). The logical consequence of my pacifism is that I categorically reject the right of any human being to take the life of another human being. This pacifism is tested daily living in a nation where death by violence occurs I believe every hour ( minute?) of every day in the USA.

Looking back, I am sure it did not make my late mother less worried for me as a Black gay male in the USA when I refused to “ protect” myself with any type of deadly weapon. But her choice to worry or not was her choice. As a taxpayer in lean and or fat times, I expect a basic level of security and safety in exchange for my labor and taxes to support my neighborhood ( my community).
