CARLOS SANTANA CAPITULATES TO THE CULTURE OF IBERIAN COLONIAL CONQUISTADOR CULTURE BY ‘COMING OUT’ AS A “DAVE CHAPPELLE”TRANSPHOBE

THE ICONIC LATIN MUSIC legend has apparently transcended the rich cultural heritage that gave him a career. Note GOOGLE’s algorithm lists him as an American guitarist — without having to enter all the letters of his first name. Color me profoundly disappointed and dismayed that the man who gave us the magnum opus (and Grammy winning album) “SUPERNATURAL” has apparently retained his conservative wholly and orthodox Holy Roman Catholic/Christian Evangelical roots.

It is important to note that as of 8.25.2023, he has also fully endorsed his ‘beloved brother’ Mr. Chappelle in his earlier transphobic comments even as he has offered an apology to the trans community. I regret to inform Mr. Santana that this doesn’t make his willfully ignorant hate speech any less harmful, hurtful, and terroristic, specifically for the Latin trans and LGBTQIA+ communities and in general for everyone who is NOT Carlos Santana or David Khari Chappelle. An implicit trust between a creative artist and audience has been violated.
