Why is it that me and my friends and family spread across America can attest to all the experiences and or conclusions in your article? I have to zone out into pleasure, books, and cooking and housekeeping to intentionally numb out. I think running naked down the street while yelling would help too, but these days it would also get me killed by law enforcement 🙃🙂🤫. Thankfully, I don’t own or watch TV, but callers are always willing to update on the latest crazy shite. The 50% who support POTUS 45 are doing everything they can to manifest a toxic masculine/feminine driven biblical apocalypse by being silent and or promoting silence on COVID abatement progress and global vaccinations. The 1.6.21 terror attackers were allowed to go back to their homes and become heroes and heroines to organize smaller cells and support new waves of schools mass shooters and law enforcement deadly gun violence. I knew your assessments were spot on-- and so did my 1%-adjacent friends and or family and their friends of friends, too. Dr. Birx went on 60 Minutes to say that at least 400,000 COVID19 Deaths were preventable. The more history and memoir/ first-person narrative I read, the more I understand that everything that was allowed to create terror, chaos, and mass death was by some design at the highest levels of global hegemony and mendacity/ profiteering. I never wanted or needed to know what the rich and famous were ‘ up' to-- but they are BACK, publicists in tow, demanding to be heard and somehow relevant again. Thankfully, they can never matter in the old ways again, and I am thrilled about that change.
I don’t think we are healthier overall than we were in 2018. The slide to sexism, racism anarchism and chaos roughly parallels The Handmaids Tale ( the Atwood novel). By the time the “ limited series” Game of Thrones was written, the world was years past it’s point of no return. The GOP has been behaving like Segregation Then, Segregation Now, Segregation Forever became the law of the land once Kennedy was assassinated and LBJ sworn in. They have done nothing independent of coalitions to offer progressive solutions to child hunger and incarceration, police shootings, homelessness, or the opioid crisis, and HIV/AIDS.
