Dr. Haque, might I respectfully suggest a modification to your title, as follows: The United Kingdom Has Chosen to Destroy Itself. You and many others, to your collective credit, have comparatively calmly and rationally and quite clearly pointed this out for years. It has been I think, at least 6 or 7 years since I first began following you ( and reading your erudite and compassionate essays on Medium.com. And you, as you know, have not been the first herald. But, like me, you have also never been able to hide your otherness(-es?). Consequently, the oligarchs have intentionally dismissed you from the "alphabet soup gang of media moguls" ( CNN, MSNBC, etc.). By the way, I saw a rare-for-you in person interview on YouTube. If no one else has told you, you look just fine. The red meat has definitely worked! I trust you have some stored in a deep freezer for the lean times when they come.
