From my POV as a 64 year old gay black male with a BS in Industrial Engg./ Management Science AND a Masters in Theology with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling, whose biological family is mostly dead and or shunning me without ever asking what being gay was, is or will continue to be, I found wisdom and hope in your words here: "One person is not better than another person. In fact, the idea that one person is better/more important/more valuable than another is the basic misunderstanding that is ruining our world." Thank you!

Keep up your writing; love your children. Not a day has gone by since February 17, 2016, when my mother who loved me unconditionally passed away, that I don't miss her tremendously. Her love , which included speaking up for me and her LGBTQIA+ friends and professional associates ( she was an RN- Nurse Manager) at a convention of American Baptists, among other willfully ignorant homophobes, is still THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS.
