From your article: “…sudden, rapid decline of democracy…” OR, taking a long term view of world history: perhaps there was only really ever a relentless HOPE/VISION for democracy and in the USA, the behaviors of the Founders and Elected/Appointed leaders never quite was consistent with the language in our founding documents. We have quite literally and figuratively only ever had PIECES OF DREAMS OF DEMOCRACY.
