Even as they acknowledge that individualized educational plans are successfully executed in synchronous and or asynchronous learning formats with diverse cohorts of 15 students or less, this is an arrogant willfully ignorant plan from New York City, NY. Time must be suspended as needed so that we stop half-blind and tone-deaf pushing through or numbing pain ( usually a symptom(s) of chronic illness or some treatable illness( illnesses)) in order to push through. We need wellness models where it's less about the destination and more about the journey.

Public systems of education must serve every single student. They must do this, at a minimum, from Kindergarten through an Associate or Bachelors degree. They must educate all sentient human beings, regardless of DNA, RNA, skin color, hair color, skull size, height, handedness, grip strength and or pectoral / bicep/ derriere / other sex organ(s) size, ability to assume various yoga positions, nutrition, housing, and or transportation challenges to name a few of the currently more contentious human diversities. Public Education is not a profit generator; it is a public good that requires, money, time, patience, and natural skills and abilities. Their are few shortcuts and or generic branded shortcuts to these foundational principles.

To have non- medically trained and clinically inexperienced public policy wonks and government officials, irregardless of their skills, training and abilities speak so highly of their shared ignorance of COVID19 go back to issuing edicts based upon what is popular and " politically correct" today --- doesn't make it right --- or safe for children and or adults. With a deadly airborne virus still raging on a planet with a shared supply of air and water, our priorities are, in a few words--- incoherent, delusional, cruel, selfish, profit-making, and criminally negligent.

YET, I still write, publish, read, interview and transcribe my narratives and those synthesizing countless others. I do this because I love teaching and becoming an educational leader/influencer/ facilitative coach. I still believe that the more we know, the better we can do for ourselves and our entire world. As long as unconditional love, unconditional positive regard, and The Golden Rule exist in languages, they can continue to manifest in the worlds where all those languages are still spoken and or written.

In my universe, words matter, reading is fundamental. Math and Science, Fine and Performing Arts are still necessary to make sense of our world.

The more I work in relative silence and obscurity, the clearly I can imagine, write about and uncover better ways of living. The deeper dive I take into my reading, contemplation, and writing, the more unconditionally loving and accepting of anything I have been taught to be afraid of, hate, destroy/ eliminate or ignore --- the better quality of life I get to enjoy over time.

All of us must continuously seek to know better in order to do better.
And so it goes.
