Something's Coming in 2022 through 2024...
Some part of me wishes I had more details. The facts we all have so far should give us pause. But its the 2021 Holiday Season, and too many feel they have sacrificed long enough. What will be the long game consequences of three months of large group gatherings in larger and smaller, public and private spaces with international air travel?
We now know that in defiance of any justifiable lockdown, everyone who has the big bucks will travel locally and or globally sans vaccinations, boosters, masks, while intoxicated-- as long as they embrace their God-given right to protest.
Nostalgia for the people whose progeny* have spawned Oprah Winfrey, "Dr.( not-a-practicing-licensed-physician) Phil McGraw, and Dr. Mehmet OZ ( The Polititian of Mandalore) instantly brought Ray Bradbury's jazz riff on lines from the latest remake of Shakespeare's Macbeth to front-of-mind in the transition to 2022:
The line is a very striking piece of verse, not only because of the way it sounds but also because of its ominous announcement of some approaching monster. And it does, in fact, signal the approach of a monster – a monster that the witches have themselves created, the monster that Macbeth has become.
To wit,
"By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes."

Something wicked this way comes
By Ray Bradbury
Crystal water turns to dark
Where ere it's presence leaves it's mark
And boiling currents pound like drums
When something wicked this way comes...
A presence dark invades the fair
And gives the horses ample scare
Chaos rains and panic fills the air
When something wicked this way comes...
Ill winds mark it's fearsome flight,
And autumn branches creak with fright.
The landscape turns to ashen crumbs,
When something wicked this way comes...
Flowers bloom as black as night
Removing color from your sight
Nightmarish vines block your way
Thorns reach out to catch their prey
And by the pricking of your thumbs
Realize that their poison numbs
From frightful blooms, rank odors seep
Bats & beasties fly & creep
'Cross this evil land, ill winds blow
Despite the darkness, mushrooms glow
All will rot & decompose
For something wicked this way grows...
