Thank you for performing this awesome National Public Information Service. The PBS documentary on Levittown(s) did not present their story in this detailed state-by-state-and-year(s) format. Your article is so much more powerful for me. Four of the states where I and many family members have lived and worked: Illinois (born in Chicago, college in Evanston), New Jersey ( 2nd-12th grade in Paterson, maternal grandmother/"Aunt" was one of only 2 or 3 Black homeowners in Matawan from the late 1950's), Georgia ( taught and launched educational consultancy in Dawson County (1997), lived and worked in Decatur), and California ( 1981 to present day). Me and millions I suppose have lived in segregation since birth (1959) . Wow!
