THIS IS WHERE THE ANY COMMUNITY ACTION SHOULD BE DIRECTED, in my opinion. Demand that our LA Mayor, City Council, and LA City's perennially wealthier "Uncle"- LA Board of Supervisors, require them to have at least 70 of any businesses part of HDG's Master Plan be minority-owned. Further, require that his group's expertise act as mentors/in co-operation with first-time and existing minority owned businesses. Finally, the existing structures should not be torn down.. they should be gutted and renovated from the inside out, similar to how Santa Monica Plaza has reinvented itself and continues to evolve afte rbeing a virtual ghost town during the pandemic.
