WHAT WAS BILLED AS THE 2024 GOP PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE WAS A “BATTLE OF THE PLAYGROUND THUGS/BULLIES”
No one spoke about the need for all citizens eligible to vote registering and voting in higher numbers than ever before in our history.
No questions were asked about the rise in laws suppressing access to voting, mostly in states with Republican Governors and or Republican state legislature majorities.
No one spoke of the need for literacy, free public libraries for all citizens where people have always been able to request books to added to library collections and no one be allowed to ban or destroy books unless they are beyond repair and therefore unreadable.
No one spoke of expanding and improving literacy and education services for all persons with disabilities and other vulnerable populations with challenges in accessing such services.
No speaker was asked about their history of public service to:
End the prescription opioid and or fentanyl black market and addiction crisis.
Reduce and or end child poverty and homelessness.
End gender-based violence, abuse, and or human trafficking.
Hold Federal, State, County, and Municipal law enforcement to a strictly monitored zero tolerance for police brutality and return to de-military-weaponized community policing and requiring all officers to live within the counties and or municipalities that they serve.
