Your essay seems to miss(?) forget(?) fail to discuss a far more consistent metric shared by all of your examples: none of them actually were ashamed, just based upon their individual performances. My frame of reference for my claims: five decades of classroom teaching and direct long-term ( 2 years was my longest dedicated behavioral observation at the grades k-6 and 8- 12+ grades*) Shame is a bullying tactic and suboptimal tool bad teachers use for classroom control. No USA politician has ever actually been ashamed. Random example: Nixon appeared sweaty in the JFK debate because he had zero or too little make-up and no significant live television experience at that point in time. Therein lies the perennial problem. The reality is a wealthy and majority high-functioning electorate chose to elect a pathological liar.

THAT FOR ME IS THE STORY SOMEONE NEEDS TO COVER. Who are these people? Who is benefitted because of their vote? What do they and his entire 2023 US CONGRESSIONAL cohort already know that has kept them eerily quiet? Sure seems like a toxic stew of anti-goverment, anti-intellectual, planned willful ignorance/ refusal to read/think/question/ verify/ accept ridiculously low expectations and or, exactly what they wanted, right?🤔🙈🙉🙊👽👻👀
